Spring is coming and it feels great! This last week saw some sun and consistent temperatures above freezing for the first time in a long time. With the time change, it really feels like spring is here. The last remnants of snow (on the ground since mid-December) and ice on the lakes are melting away.
Today we went to the garden supply store and picked up potting soil and seeds (tomato, basil and green pepper) to start on our back porch. We can only put them outside after the chance for the last frost has past (May 15th), but the sun and warmth today made it feel like time to plant! I raked up the needles in the backyard to encourage grass to grow, and it won't be long before the barbecue comes out of the basement.
