Davis walked today at daycare!! Apparently, Avi, one of the providers, was just walking around putting toys away and didn't realize the baby she saw walking behind her was Davis at first... when she did there was a big uproar and Sarah, who has a herniated disc, ran out of the room to see! Hopefully Sarah's back heals quickly. He also stood up without needing to pull up on anything. We couldn't really get him to walk when we got home, he was mostly tired from a big day.
This morning we found out, in addition to understanding "bye", he now also understands "hi". We took him in for a doctors appointment this morning and stopped for breakfast on the way. John and I feel a bit guilty since we usually choose to sit in a more crowded section of the restaurant in order to keep Davis entertained. He's a wonderful diner, but he tends to steal the show. Most conversations stop around us and people start talking to him and to us instead. It keeps him in high spirits, and this morning he had a grand old time waving to new people when we told him to say hi!
