It's been a big week on the Naegle household. This morning Davis tried real food for the first time! He seemed a bit confused, but kept opening his mouth for more, although I'm not sure how much actually made it to his tummy, but it was a lot of fun to watch! Grandma Mendenhall left today and we're all quite sad. It was hard dropping her off at the airport after six weeks of living under one roof again (this is the first time since my sophmore year of college that I've really lived with my parents again). Grandma almost didn't make it out of Boston becuase of the hurricane, but she managed to get on a flight and was hoping to be off the east coast before there was any more problems. She has a long day ahead of her with connections in New York and Denver.
Davis had his four month checkup yesterday. The vaccinations hit him pretty hard last night, but he's doing much better today. I didn't time it, but I think he giggled for a full five minutes earlier after he woke up from his first nap. He weighs 18lbs and 13oz and is 26" long! He's moved from 50th percentile to 99th! (At least in weight, he's now in the 88th percentile for length...so he's a bit wider than long).
Right now, I'm working (blogging for a break from work :) while John and Davis take a nap. We're all feeling pretty exhausted after a rough night and emotional morning.
