There are hand motions that go with each part of the song. He really enjoys the hand motions and the whispering part of the song and seems to anticipate the snapping of a monkey from the tree.

and snatches that squirrel right out of the tree.

Oh, I know what Davis needs for Christmas! (or his first birthday!). There is a series of "5 Little Monkeys" books that has the alligator (like your song), jumping on the bed etc. My kids love them :)
